The first book is Clockwork Angel, which I found a bit too confusing and boring. This book stirs things up a little for the good guys. All hope seems lost, it seems to me like Cassandra Clare is building up to a good finale, I do hope that it is a good finale.

Although she is a good writer, very skilled in holding her audience in thrall, I do criticize some of Infernal Devices many weird plots. She reveals nothing and then suddenly all the answers are given out in hints. A cliffhanger, no, it is not. But the book creates more puzzles than answers than I would have liked. It would have been nice to have some answers revealed to create more questions, rather than having another book or 2 to tell all.

I do hate trilogy, but CC here does a good job in telling a story that is captivating and mysterious. I just wished that it is more enthusiastically written.
