For those who read or watch Sword in the Stone, we will know about King Arthur and his consultant, Merlin. I had never suspected that Avalon and Merlin is real, but this book suggests otherwise. While there is no conclusive prove that Merlin had been a real person, who was skilled trickery or sorcery, there are many stories about him alone.
The book is merely a part of Merlin's stories before, during and after King Arthur's time. We may never know if the characters are fictional or real, but for a moment, we can believe that magic did exist.
The book is an easy read enough, with 24 short tales (or part of a chapter) about Merlin and his escapades. Written by different authors, this book is far from dull, although I did skipped a few here and there. If you are a person who likes magical stories, Merlin is pretty fun.
